Although, the projector is priced at Rs 2,25,000, at the moment it is selling around Rs 1,35,000 in India. So,for people who are into games, or want the larger-than-life viewing experience and smart features, the ViewSonic X2 is a good option in projectors. You can literally turn any wall of your house into a screen.

It provides a really immersive 1080P HDR display and enhances everything you watch on a bigger screen. I had a fun experience using the ViewSonic X2 home projector. ViewSonic X2 home projector: Should you buy it?

Although, the projector does offer limited support for pairing external speakers with it - with Bluetooth or 3.5mm jack - so if you are looking to get X2 and build a home-theatre around it, you would be able to match it with a decent speaker system. It is loud enough to watch movies or shows but it cannot match the performance of standalone speakers or good soundbars that can be paired with TVs. The projector has built-in stereo speakers -6W each - that are powered by Harmon Kardon technology. However, when the content was played through projector when it was connected to a laptop through HDMI cable, these latency issues were not there.Īnother area of concern is sound performance. It wasn't something that would spoil your experience, but it was there.

I found that when I played content on the projector after connecting it to phone or laptop wirelessly, there was latency and lag. While all of this is fairly great, there are a few bits that I feel could have been better. I also used the projector to play video some games, and the experience was good enough. But the projector, on that note, is surely approved for toddlers or kids. Usually, parents don't allow kids to come near the TV as they might press some buttons or scratch the screen.

She was all amazed to see her favourite video of "Baby Shark" played on it and to her at least the experience felt so immersive that she tried to grab the fish. One interesting experience I had while reviewing the projector was with my 4-year-old niece. When Rinku Singh hit 5 consecutive sixes recently, I was watching the match on the 100-inch screen that the X2 created in my drawing room. I often connected it to the phone and streamed IPL through it. Apart from watching movies, the X2 can serve as a great device for hosting home parties to watch sports like IPL matches.
